After a day without power and two days with no
Internet connection, we are finally back to normal. A powerful wind storm hit the Pacific Northwest on Sunday and carried through to the Interior. Many of our trees came down, fortunately none hitting any of the out buildings. Our
fence lines were not so lucky. Time for clean up. There is never time to get bored when owning a farm :-)

cria survey the damage in the barnyard. This is one of the beetle kill pine trees that died this summer. It broke off at ground level and came through the fence. Luckily no animals were close by.

Wow.... looks like you had some close calls. Glad you and the critters are all okay.
Ohhhhh, it was worse up your way, methinks. We lost a part of the fence to a BIG limb. Sheared the woven wire off right at a post. Electronet (gotta love it!) is filling the gap. We were fixing fence as the local coyotes held a big sing.

My neighbor said we had a big wind and rain storm on my birthday. We were in Nebraska at the time, enjoying beautiful weather. We had small branches and scattered miscellany to pick up when we got home, but that was it. Glad no animals or buildings were hit at your place!
